As Valentine’s Day draws closer and closer, hot love is already in the air; yet, as expected, online retailers—on the other hand—are gearing up for a piece of Valentine’s Day cake.
And latest on our radar, Kilimall, boasting the leading online marketplace, is all out to spoil lovers with a romantic night on February 14th, when the world marks Lover’s Day.
More up for grabs
At the same time, in recognition of the other category of shoppers, the company has also slashed prices of various products sold on its online mall and will be offering discounts of up to 50 per cent on select items across all categories, dubbed Kilimall Valentine Gifts.
“Kilimall sells, under that arrangement, a variety of products under three major categories of electronic, fashion and home and living.”
The climax of Valentine’s Day offer at Kilimall will be a fully paid romantic night and dinner for a lucky couple at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Nairobi.
Another two couples will also get a fully paid professional photoshoot session at Nairobi National Park along with free fashion items of their choice on Kilimall.
How to take part
“All a shopper needs to do is post a photo with their better half on our Facebook page and have friends vote for them. The one with the most votes wins!” said Kilimall Managing Director, Robin Xie.
The effort is in line with Kilimall’s Valentine’s campaign themed #ShareYourLove, which has been running from January 23rd to February 14th.
Some of Valentine’s gifts selected and discounted by Kilimall on their website are a wide range of smart phones, bags, jewellery, beauty products and perfumes, watches, accessories and fashion for both men and women.
Other prizes on offer include 32-inch Skyworth TVs and Kilimall gift vouchers for customers who participate by posting photo reviews on the Kilimall website.
Season of love
“This is the season of love and we want Kenyans to impress their lovers with gifts,” Mr Xie added.
“So, we have researched and selected the most popular, but unique lovers’ gifts which will be highly discounted during Valentines.”
