The event is being sponsored by secure financial messaging services provider SWIFT.
The show will act as a feeder event for the SWIFT Innotribe Startup Challenge, which is the largest Emerging Markets FinTech innovation platform. This year the Startup Challenge will be run in both Africa and Russia.
The African event will feature 10 companies and be held in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, in partnership with SWIFT’s African Regional Conference. At the end of the showcase, we will announce the 3 finalists invited to Sibos in Toronto in October.
The second of the Nairobi events will be a meet and greet cocktail event. Hazel Nolan, the regional lead for Innotribe Startup Challenge, will be hosting the event and will discuss Innotribe and the Startup Challenge.
Hazel Nolan, the regional lead for Innotribe Startup Challenge says “The Emerging Markets, with their large underserved and ‘mobile only’ communities, have the greatest opportunities for meaningful collaboration between FinTechs and financial institutions.
Innotribe is a platform to showcase these leading innovators and connect them with the African financial ecosystem.” Join Innotribe at Mettā, Riverside for a cocktail networking reception. Don’t miss this chance to benchmark new ideas over drinks and canapes.
