Waryaa Taxi launches Uber-style app in Somalia

Quick to grab a blue ocean, entrepreneurs have launched an Uber-style taxi app Waryaa Taxi to take advantage of the opportunity not yet invaded by foreigners.

The new on demand app will provide the war ravaged Somalia with convenience of travel enjoyed by several countries around the world.

“The application connects taxi drivers and passengers allowing them to experience a fast, convenient and safe ride, at just a tap of button,” the startup said on its website.

The owners said:Waryaa taxi is a creation of individuals who were tired of overpaying for taxis. They were also concerned about the security of many taxis in the region.
